After ~3,500 miles of road-tripping over three weeks, Marcia and I arrived home in Des Moines yesterday afternoon. We were greeted by brutal cold temperatures and high winds (because Iowa), and also (more unusually) by a really excellent Sun Dog phenomenon this morning, that looked like this:
I’ll take that as a (faint) benefit associated with returning to near-Arctic climes, begrudgingly. But most of the past three weeks were spent in much nicer locations, weather-wise, mainly in New Mexico, but with a few nights in Texas as well. As always, I snapped lots of photos, and as always, I share them here on the blog.
