J. Eric Smith is a seasoned internet warrior, having maintained an active online presence since 1993, launched a personal website in 1995, and blogged regularly since September 2000.

The website you see here today is the fourth incarnation of jericsmith.com. The first served as a repository for over 750 reviews and feature articles Eric wrote in the ’90s for print clients, before most of them even had their own websites. The second version focused on blog writing projects, including a poem a day through 2004, and several influential articles that “went viral,” most notably the Worst Rock Band Ever competition. The third version provided an archive of blog posts written for other commercial clients, merged with the “best of” archives of the prior two versions.

This latest version of Eric’s online home provides an archive for selected professional, academic, management and consulting projects. Eric’s current cultural and creative writing outlet may be found at Indie Moines. Thank you for reading.
